This painting was done on spot from life, some time in March 2025 What is so special about Amalienborg seen from the other side of the canal along with the Marble church is differentiated roof cascade with various building blocks creating a complex and playful architectural rhythm making that distant middle ground composition interesting enough to explore.

Sculpture of Grinder by an unknown artist in Ørstedsparken, Copenhagen. In this piece a wide area is given to the middle-ground trees that obscure the silhouettes of background buildings, conveying the feel of a city park. The sculpture is positioned in the foreground but off to the side, allowing more space for the open grassy area where park visitors sit still long enough to be painted.

The first outdoor painting session of the season, February 2025. Misty weather always helps with subject selection—simplifying details and excluding unnecessary count of elements. The scene feels well layered and precomposed, distances compress and become short. Presented in a classic black frame with a gilded inner edge, the piece balances contemporary subject matter with traditional presentation.

According to Wikipedia this is the most densely trafficked road in central Copenhagen. To my personal experience no roads get trafficked more than bicycle lanes here during the rush hour.
